My cat was doing very poorly. My regular vet was unavailable. I called District Vet (had read wonderful reviews) for an appointment. Even though it... was very last minute they were able to accommodate my cat at the Navy Yard location the next day. My appointment was with Dr Lee and she was awesome. Very professional, very knowledgeable, very thorough. All the news was not good I was relieved to have the information. The tech, front desk staff, everyone I encountered were all great. Great staff here from the front desk to the veterinarian. Make sure you pay the parking meter enough.
Nikki was a great help with my grand pup Sasha every time I have bring her in. She is very pleasant and positive to be around.
All the doctors here are amazing! I drive from Baltimore just so my three cats can receive care here. Compassionate, kind and knowledgeable. They... will email me on their day off to give me results and discuss care plans. We almost lost one of our fur babies at Thanksgiving but thanks to the vets and techs here she was saved. And DYANA!!!!!!!! She is amazing and is the cat whisperer. She has a calming way way with the animals that is so appreciated.read more

We’ve seen Dr. Walker regularly for annual exams and she’s also wonderful. Super transparent about treatment options and pricing. Recently, my dog... Riggins had a horrible scare. Didn’t know what was wrong and when we came in for an appointment. Dr. Washawsky was a God-send. Called ahead to the ER to make sure they could see him right away and diligently followed up with both the ICU team and me about his care. Was so patient as we asked millions of questions and constantly checking in to make sure he was feeling better. She even helped us fight the insurance company after they refused to cover his care. Can’t go wrong with the great team here.read more

The practice is the best and I have known the owner, Dr Teich, for 18yrs. from when he started at DCAC/now HRA I can get appts w/in the hr sometimes... and I rush my kitties over to Dr Walker as she always has time for us at NY. She knows my kitties and I want continuity in care bec she can spot health changes immediately.We adore Dr Walker and she always treats my FURmily (and me) with the most genuine compassion. She knows me well and my idiosyncrasies and patient to my wishes.. Her support staff is lovely at NY as well. I have tried some of the new vets and they are very sweet to us. I have lots of senior special needs kitties with chronic illnesses and the team goes above and beyond to be kind to my FURmily.I have been owned by kitties for 65yrs and they agree District Vets is the best!!! We will never go anywhere else as long as Dr Walker is there.read more

D’yana is the absolute best!!!! My dog had a nasty ear infection and she was so gentle with him and answered all of my questions with a smile!!!
Nikkia provided pet sitting services for our beloved cat, Maya, while we were away on vacation. She did an excellent job and provided us with peace... of mind that Maya was well cared for. We loved getting pictures of Maya with updates. A great personal touch! The entire staff at District Veterinary Hospital - Navy Yard take great care of our cat. Wonderful team! Dr Tonic gave an excellent treatment plan for my dog and he is improving with each visit. The techs are wonderful, attentive, and... patient with my nervous pup. Front desk staff is always friendly; helpful and accommodating with scheduling appts. I only come to NAVY YARD location now because of the excellent care here from start to finish! I’ve moved around a lot going to different vets and finally found a vet I would go out of my way to go to every time! All of the staff and doctors... are friendly and very knowledgeable, but Erin in particular, stood out from the crowd treating my pets as if they are her own and being treated like the family members they are! Nikki is one of the best vet techs. She is caring, kind, and wonderful with our loving but can be difficult cat. She knows how to get him to calm... down while she cuts his nails and shaves off his matted knots. She is the absolute best!read more
